NYAIGS fosters convening spaces for professionals working across AI safety, security, governance, and public policy, spanning academia, think tanks, industry, startups, philanthropy, government, media, and more to navigate the opportunities and risks from AI.

New York City brings together incredibly talented people across industries. We want to make it a hub for some of the most important challenges in AI: safety, governance, and security. Our work brings together the diversity of expertise in this city to address these challenges.

Since our launch in 2025, NYAIGS has convened professionals from organizations including leading research institutions, frontier AI companies, government agencies, international organizations, and civil society groups. Highlights include a 2026 book talk with Sebastian Mallaby, author of The Infinity Machine: Demis Hassabis, DeepMind, and the Quest for Superintelligence, a 2025 convening of experts during UN General Assembly Week on verification of international AI agreements, intimate dinners with field leaders, and regular happy hours that bring our broader community together.
